This is for small weddings which the county clerk defines as 15-20 people. Located on the Anacapa Street side next to the main front entrance. Several things to know about getting married at this location:
1. You must have your own officiant. The county clerk will not perform here.
2. It's come first, first serve. Tourists tend not to hang out in this area BUT you may peak their curiosity as they enter the courthouse.
3. Great option for early morning ceremonies. Shade covers this area in the morning but sunlight gets harsher as the day progresses.
4. None of the following:
- No amplified sound, but soft acoustic music would be permitted.
- All chairs and equipment are to be hand carried to wedding site.
- No rice, confetti, flower petals, bird seed or open flames.
- No taping off or coning any area of Courthouse Grounds.
