Marriage Tree
Area G
Yes, it's free!

This is for small weddings which the county clerk defines as 15-20 people. Located on the corner of Figueroa and Santa Barbara Streets, it's also called "The Marriage Tree" due to the 2 trees growing from one trunk system. Several things to know about getting married at this location:

1. You must have your own officiant. The county clerk will not perform here.

2. It's come first, first serve. Luckily, tourists tend not to hang out in this area of the courthouse.

3. Great option for later afternoon ceremonies. Light is flattering later in the day versus the morning when harsh light hits this area.

4. None of the following:
  • No amplified sound, but soft acoustic music would be permitted.
  • All chairs and equipment are to be hand carried to wedding site.
  • No rice, confetti, flower petals, bird seed or open flames.
  • No taping off or coning any area of Courthouse Grounds.
